This Session will attempt an open discussion that addresses issues of privacy and online freedom of expression. We want to discuss if and why privacy matters. How does that relate to contemporary artists and the tools they (we) are using? Is there a space for a political statement? How much strength does artistic expression have in the cyberworld? What are the chances and responsibilities of artists confronted with the omnipresent power- and control-structures in the wake of the revelations of Edward Snowden and other whistleblowers.
