Geso, Marie Takahashi, Kamil Korolczuk / Morpheme, a project of visual music

The talk is a presentation of the conception and the process that lead Pablo (Geso) along Marie and Kamil to start this audio-visual project, an experiment within the following concepts: visual music, improvisation, free jazz, experimental music, synesthesia. Pablo understands visuals as just one more instrument in a band, so the Morpheme performances are pure live generated music and visuals, where all the players are part of feedback system.

About Geso, Marie Takahashi, Kamil Korolczuk

Marie Takahashi (viola - Japan), Kamil Korolczuk (live electronics - Poland) and Pablo Iglesias a.k.a. Geso (live visuals - Spain) form a Berlin based trio of visual music improvisation. Each of them has been experimenting with different techniques combining organic and digital elements, and the overlap of their works has the purpose of finding the perfect synch between audio and visual language, digital and organic at the same time. An audiovisual trip where hearing is seeing and vice versa. The trio uses improvisation as a playground where the music is not written on paper, but created in real time by the interaction and feedback of all the parts in play.
